Terms of use
These terms are a contract between you and Uptrail ("we", "us") covering your use of the Quinn app and service. By creating an account or using Quinn, you agree to them.
1. Quinn is an AI, and it's practice
Quinn is an artificial-intelligence interview coach. Its interviews, scorecards, metrics, and drills are AI-generated coaching, not professional assessments — they can be wrong or incomplete. Quinn is practice and preparation only. It is not a live-interview assistant, it does not join or help you during a real interview, and it does not guarantee that you will pass an interview, receive a job offer, or be granted any visa.
2. The visa modes
Quinn's visa interview practice is rehearsal only. Quinn is not affiliated with the U.S. Department of State or any government agency, does not provide legal or immigration advice, and never predicts a visa outcome. Do not enter real passport, case, or document numbers — use placeholders. For legal or immigration advice, consult a qualified professional.
3. Who can use Quinn
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to hold an account, created through Sign in with Apple. You may hold one account.
4. Calls to your own number, and consent
- Quinn places practice calls only to your own phone number, which you verify with a one-time SMS code, in the US or Canada. By verifying your number and requesting calls, you are asking us to call you — that request is your express consent to receive them.
- You may change your number (subject to limits) or stop the calls at any time, and quiet hours (8am–9pm your local time) are always enforced. Declining or missing a scheduled or AMBUSH call costs nothing.
- You agree to verify only a number you control and are entitled to receive calls on, and not to attempt to have Quinn call anyone else.
5. Subscriptions and billing
- Quinn is free to download, and your first 3 practice calls are free (up to 10 minutes each, one per day). There is no free trial on the subscriptions — the free calls are the trial.
- Quinn Prep ($14.99/month) includes 80 practice minutes per month, every interviewer mode, JD-targeted question plans, and progress trends. Quinn Pro ($29.99/month) includes 150 minutes per month, AMBUSH mode, and the full visa pack. The one-time Interview Tomorrow Pack ($9.99) adds 60 minutes that expire after 7 days and requires an active subscription. Prices are in USD and may vary by region.
- Subscriptions are billed through your Apple account and auto-renew monthly until canceled. Cancel any time in your App Store subscription settings at least 24 hours before renewal; you keep access until the end of the paid period.
- Unused minutes do not roll over and reset each calendar month. Caps are as stated above; marketing never describes minutes as "unlimited".
- Payments, refunds, and billing disputes are handled by Apple under their terms. Use of the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Quinn to break the law, harm anyone, or attempt to harm the service. Specifically, you agree not to:
- use the service for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to have Quinn call a number you do not control or are not entitled to receive calls on;
- use Quinn to assist in deceiving a real interviewer or to misrepresent your abilities to an employer or government;
- probe, overload, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the service, or attempt to extract its underlying models or prompts;
- resell, scrape, or automate access to the service.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.
7. Your content
Your call transcripts and answers belong to you. You grant us the limited license needed to process them and generate your scorecards, drills, and trends — as described in our privacy policy. Generated content is for your personal use.
8. Disclaimers
Quinn is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that any particular call will connect or be answered, or that scorecards will be accurate or complete. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded — including any statutory guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including any employment or immigration outcome.
10. Ending things
You can stop using Quinn and delete your account at any time in the app (You tab → Delete account); deletion removes your data as described in the privacy policy. We may suspend or terminate the service or your account for breach of these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the effective date above will change and material updates will be flagged in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Quinn after changes take effect means you accept them.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts — without limiting any mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
